Bills rookie TE Nelson missed practice with strained shoulder

After hurting shoulder in the first quarter of Buffalo’s win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week, the Buffalo Bills rookie tight end Shawn Nelson skipped the team’s practice Friday, making his status for Sunday’s game questionable.

So the Bills will be preparing for playing against the New Orleans Saints with only two tight ends: Derek Fine and Jonathan Stupar. The injured also includes reserve defensive lineman John McCargo, who has missed Friday’s practice because of a calf injury, and receiver Josh Reed and cornerback Terrence McGee, who are both questionable because of ankle injuries.

Those who are likely bu have not been confirmed to play against the Saints include starting center Geoff Hangartner, cornerback Leodis McKelvin and receiver Roscoe Parrish. They are not confirmed to play because of injuries.
