Two-time Super Bowl winner Ben Roethlisberger now has more time to respond to the suit a woman suing him for alleged sexual assault. He and his attorney now can wait until Aug. 21 to file their response.
The woman was an executive VIP casino host at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe. She claims that Roethlisberger raped her in his hotel room. She said that she was lured by Roethlisberger to his hotel room during a celebrity golf tournament last summer. The woman is seeking a minimum of $490,000 plus punitive damages. She also names two officials of the hotel as defendants.
Lawyers of the two hotel officials filed motions on Friday from Reno 50 miles south to Minden in Douglas County.
