Although the contract between Eli Manning and the New York Giants is still pending, news already broke last Wednesday that Manning would earn $97 million through the contract and become the NFL's highest paid player based on annual salary.
The star quarterback told reporters that there was nothing new about the pending contract and he had not much information about the contract process, but he believed that it will get worked out before long.
On Saturday, Giants general manager Jerry Reese said that final touches on the deal are yet to be put by lawyers for the two sides. And Manning just would not like to give details about the contract which will give him average pay of $15.3 million annually keep him with the Giants through 2015.
