Last Tuesday, Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson had his 30th birthday. As a lot of people guessed that may mean he is getting too old to be as productive as before, L.T. wants to prove that they were wrong.
"That's the one thing that I'm eager to prove, is that doesn't necessarily go for every player. Turn 30, that doesn't mean that you can't play any more," Tomlinson said Thursday, two days after his birthday. "There are some guys out there that defy the odds, and I'm eager to prove that."
Tomlinson had a career-low 1,110 rushing yards last season, and missed the game against Pittsburgh Steelers because of injury--the first time in his career he missed a game for injury. But he still started offseason workouts in March and said he hasn't had any problems. This year he sees doctor more often than before.
